Robert Dighton Jr. (1786-1865) was the son of the more famous Robert Dighton, and brother of Richard and Denis, all etchers and caricaturists. However, Robert Jr. worked in this field only from 1800 to 1809, generally producing military portraits, until he gained his own military commission, going on to serve in the Peninsular War and in France.
