a combined plan and panorama of early 18th century London, the plan above extending from Islington to Lambeth Palace, and from Hyde Park to Stepney, with an inset view of the Palace of Whitehall, upper left, and an elevated perspective view of the relatively new building of the Royal Exchange, upper right, with a key to the 49 noblest streets and 25 squares, churches and other important buildings and monuments, lower right. The panorama, below, titled ‘Prospect de Königl. Haupt und Residentz Stadt London’, an elevated view from Southwark looking over the Thames, extends from St Clement Danes to Wapping, with a key to 63 buildings and sites of interest in two panels in the upper corners,.
engraved map with three inset views, the map hand-coloured in detail, the views all fully coloured, on two joined sheets, a soft central vertical fold, trimmed to the outer decorative border, two small areas of loss very neatly supplied in pen facsimile, within the map in the open fields below White Horse Lane to the east of the city, and in the bottom right corner of the lower panorama, this with a few very small surface losses in the neighbouring decorative border [Howgego 51b],
