an allegorical scene depicting the heroic figure of Sir Francis Burdett, briefly imprisoned in the Tower for his troublesome radicalism in pursuit of universal male suffrage, amongst other reforms, being presented to a grateful Britannia by the figures of Patriotism and Liberty, above them flies the heralding angel of Fame declaring the event to the world, while Wisdom wards off Envy and Malice,.
