From the series of 13 individually published plates, issued between 1793 and 1797. Francis Wheatley R.A. (1747-1801) originally exhibited a series of 14 Cries of London, idealised depictions of happy, healthy street vendors, at the Royal Academy, of which 13 were reproduced as stipple-engravings, largely under the supervision of Luigi Schiavonetti.
