This scene depicts an encounter between two heavily caricatured figures, one stout, in a short spencer jacket, completes a curve in the ice with hands on hips and one foot raised, the toe and his disapproving glare aimed squarely at the other figure, younger and slimmer, in a tail-coat, bending his knees with his arms outstretched, and a nervous grin on his face.
