a social satire depicting a large elderly lady driving a four-wheeled phaeton, drawn by a pair of horses, across open countryside, a groom follows on another horse. The composition is based on an anonymous drawing, also in the British Museum collection, titled ‘A Snow-Drop now in full Bloom in Bond Street. The subject is Miss Snow, who was associated in other caricatures with the Prince of Wales and Mrs Fitzherbert..
