Willson (Richard)

Kennedy in November, 1963, having served as his vice-president, going on to win a landslide victory in the presidential election of 1964, credited with introducing extensive social reform and the liberalisation of American society, though often drawing criticism for his escalation of the Vietnam War which factionalised his Democratic Party and led to his failure to obtain renomination in 1969.

Richard Willson (1939-2011) began as a cartoonist for The Observer in 1968, before moving to The Times and Sunday Times in the early 1970s. His popular and distinctive work also frequently appeared in The Spectator, Washington Post, New Statesman, and New Scientist,
