a satire on Lord Heathfield, (George Augustus Eliott, 1st Baron Heathfield of Gibraltar, 1717–1790), military hero of the Seven Years War, champion defender during the Siege of Gibraltar by the French and Spanish, which lasted from 1779 to 1783, retaining his governorship until his death, though his fitness to do so questioned here, riding a donkey and blowing a cornet, engraving with original hand-colouring, 285 x 460 mm.
