London to Manchester – a virgin experience

Tait (Arthur Fitzwilliam) Victoria Station, Hunt's Bank, Manchester,

Really excited about my first trip to Manchester by train today. Luckily, I found this scarce coloured lithograph of Manchester Victoria Station by Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait, one of a series of views available, so I know what to look out for. Beautiful railway architecture by George Stephenson, and blissfully traffic-free, though some of the ‘Madchester’ fashion on show looks a bit racy for me!
