Now that the lambing season is upon us once again, here’s a chance to marvel at nature with Professor David Low’s ‘Illustration of the Breeds of the Domestic Animals’, an invaluable pictorial record of many breeds of livestock, some now extinct, a slideshow of four examples from different parts of the country, all with beautiful original hand-colouring from a wide selection I have available.
